I read a lot about eGPU´s and i decided to build my own setup.How the topic says, my setup isMacBook Pro 15" with iGPU AMD Radeon HD 6490M 256MBI installed Win7 x64 on a BOOTCAMP partition. My eGPU setup is a GTX750 on a PE4H-EC2C board powered via a external 700W PSU.I can see the GTX750 in the Hardware manager but i get the error12 code.For that i got the latest version of eGPU setup 1.30 already, but now my problem:Update: 1.30 did not get me far...i decided to install 1.20 and it come a bit further, but still i get a freezing keyboard after i run PCI compaction. Tech Inferno Fan Posted July 4, 2015 Share Posted July 4, 2015 Anyone also know, why it tells me Remove diskette in drive A:Insert diskette in drive B:confusing......If get error after every pcie compaction process saying "Remove disk a, Insert disk b" at the end of the compaction and it just hung up there then:- force shut down, reboot into DIY setup menu>PCIe Compaction> Edit pci.bat. Change all the lines starting with a:x.x and b:x.x to 0a:x.x and 0b:x.x, to eradicate the floppy disk error. (x being the number, eg., a:1.0 b:7.0 ). Save the bat file. Then do Startup.bat->Test or boot into DIY Setup again>Automated startup via startup.bat to test that compaction.I'll add that we have no pci.bat or any details of what is required to get a bootcamped 2011 15" Macbook such as yours going. I installed Win8.1 on my MBP ( not as UEFI ) and i got the GTX 750 straight shown in my Device Manager. What is a good thing. But also this setup is not stable running. In the moment i want to run a Benchmark the video crashes. Sound is still running ok but i cant see anything. How ever, if i do a DIY eGPU Setup 1.30 and start i can see my eGPU after hit F5 i initalize the eGPU and i get a chaionload mbr2 setup in the startup.bat... As your Macbook hosts the Thunderbolt controller on the Northbridge so can't readily switch it to Gen1 performance to gain stability. Nor would you want to.. the performance would terrible running at 2Gbps.I'd advise forget using Expresscard-to-Thunderbolt adapters and instead get a native Thunder enclosure like a AKITiO Thunder2: http://forum.techinferno.com/enclosures-adapters/7205-us%24189-akitio-thunder2-pcie-box-16gbps-tb2.html . On your system you'd gain 10Gbps performance. Given that it works partially you know the software configuration is complete. It is very much appreciated. The info that the problem is lying in my TB connections and the PE4H came not in my mind.I try to find a solution now with the suggested options.I have a nother questions: What about the ViDock solutions?
