Asus G74SX 3D Gaming Notebook

The newest in Asus's gaming line of notebooks will be a 17.3" notebook called the G74. Featuring a new display that will feature a wider gamut than standard WLED as well as superior viewing angles and brightness, this notebook seems a worthy alternative to other popular notebooks such as the Alienware M17x-R3. It also features new cooling with larger exhausts. Set to be released in Q3 of this year (~July 2011), it should feature the new Sandy Bridge processor along with nVidia's 500M series graphics card.

Well i hope it will be ten times better than the G73JH and have way way better warranty sucks how their mobos rock but their high end mobile gaming machines are sometimes pretty bad and still overpriced! And the 560 is a joke they seriously should just put a bloody 6970 or gtx 485 in there if they want some real competition and sales.

It's a nice looking laptop but the cooling system is seriously flawed. If you put it on your lap it cant breathe. The exhaust is pretty sweet looking though. I think the HDD and memory locations are going to make the palm rest pretty hot. Have to see what the real users find. A coworker has a 16" Asus ROG and loves it, so based off that I would entertain the idea of buying one of these.
