M14x r2 bios recovery? (bios flash error)

When I tried to install one of the bios mods from this forum, I get this error message:

IHISI: Flash Write error in SMI!

SMI Return Code 0x25

I have no clue what this message is, so Im just going to install it through a usb flash drive.

Can anyone tell me how I can reinstall my bios through usb flash drive? I know it can be done, I just don't know the exact procedure.

Please make it as simple as possible if you can. I'm not too tech savvy when it comes to this stuff. Also, if you know of any other solutions to this error, id love to know that too.
